The Objectives tab lists all of the training objectives necessary for the lesson allowing the grades achieved by the student to be recorded for each objective. Each objective is listed with its Id, Description, and Grade Required. A dropdown list is provided with the available grades for that objective. For your convenience, the Grade Achieved defaults to the required grading.
The most common grades and their general usage are:
- E - The student performed at an exceptional level.
- P - The student is proficient on this objective.
- T - Training is still required on this objective.
- U - The student's performance was unsatisfactory.
- N - The objective was not performed.
On some objectives a NR grade will also be available indicating that the objective was Not Required (optional objective). Other common grade systems are the Q1, Q2, Q3 grades for evaluations, and P/F for a simple pass or fail. CBT objectives also may have a numeric grade indicating the students performance on the test for the objective.
Providing a substandard grade for an objective will result in the objective being placed on the worksheet for the student. See the Worksheet tab for more information. Any non-standard grade (including exceptional) requires a supporting write-up be entered on the Comments tab.
