The Personal Information page is used to enter the basic information about students, instructors, and other TMS users. It also contains the access rights the person has in the TMS. The buttons across the top of the page changes the display to the different pages of the information. The Update and Cancel buttons on the left will return to the previous page with the Update first saving any changes and the Cancel discarding changes. The General page is shown below and displays and allows entry of the basic information such as name, rank, squadron, etc. The key information that should always be updated when it changes is the Name, Rank, Squadron ID, Home Base ID, Commercial and DSN Phone, Email Address, Category, and Instructor Category. This information is used extensively in the TMS. The remainder of the data on this page is not critical. The Quals page manages the qualifications that have been acquired and are maintained by the person. The ability to change these qualification is limited. For most users, these are display only and the Add Qualification link and pencil icons would not display. Typically, little user interaction of qualifications is needed as they are managed by the TMS upon course completions. The main usage of the qualifications is for determining phase training requirements. If you feel your qualifications are in error, please contact the ATS scheduler/administrator to correct them. The Experience page lists and allows update of the individual's past experience on different types of aircraft. The experience entered is informational only to assist ATS instructors with training. It is not used elsewhere in the TMS. Click the pencil icon to update an individual record of experience. Click the Add Aircraft Experience to enter additional records. The Access page shows the Group Roles and the Active Locations for a person. The Group Roles list will vary based on the current user's defined roles. A check mark indicates that the person is a member of that role. Group Roles are used in the TMS to manage the access rights a person has. For example, an AF Student can not grade other students while an AF Instructor can. The Active Locations are used in the TMS to track where a person is currently undergoing training, is stationed, or otherwise involved in. It is used in the Person Filter to facilitate finding an individual. It is also used to control other functions in the TMS that tend to be base specific. The TSSC setting is normally used for contractor personnel and the Web setting for those people only needing access to the web site and not assigned to a specific base. |
